Employment Opportunities in the Eastern Oklahoma District Library System

Library Branch Manager – Q.B. Boydstun Library, Ft. Gibson, OK.
Manages and administers the operations and staff of the branch; ensures outstanding customer service is provided to all patrons; serves as an advocate and spokesperson for the branch and the System in the community.
Qualifications: MLS/MLIS; or BA/BS and five or more years related library experience; and experience developing programs for library users of all ages. Demonstrated performance in a management position and library coursework.
Duties: Include managing the library building, staff, and collection using professional principles of the library field. Manager will oversee the successful long term and daily operation of the library including awareness and use of the library facility, staff supervision and training, financial transactions and successful development of good relationships with governmental officials, library friends and volunteers.
Beginning salary $38,500 plus excellent benefits. 40 hrs. per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays.

Part-time position: Library Clerk - Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library, Sallisaw, OK
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Computer experience required. Library experience preferred as well as experience working with the public.
Primary duties: Include processing new books, circulating material on the automated check-out system, shelving books, assisting patrons, setting up for programs and answering reference questions.
$9.00 per hour. 18 hours per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays.
