Eufaula Memorial Library Homebound Service

What is Homebound Service?

Homebound Service at Eufaula Memorial Library is a free, personalized delivery of library materials to persons confined to their homes because of:

  • Physical disability,

  • Extended illness, or

  • Extreme transportation problems.

Items are selected based on patron requests and preferences and are delivered once a month. This service is free to residents within five miles of the Eufaula city limits.

How can I request Homebound Service?

Call the library at (918) 689-2291 or toll-free 1-888-291-8148, to request Homebound Service. Someone will come to your home to issue a library card, if you do not already have one, and get information about your reading preferences in order to begin the service.

How can I volunteer to help?

Eufaula Memorial Library is looking for people who are willing to help select and deliver materials to homebound patrons. Volunteers must:

  • Donate 2-4 hours per month for delivery purposes,

  • Complete a one-hour training session, and

  • Provide their own transportation.

To volunteer, call Margaret Collins at 689-2291 or toll-free 1-888-291-8148.
