Community Vision
Statement
Jay is a community enjoying growth from ethnically diverse backgrounds. As a community in flux, Jay has a great deal of pride in its history and diversity, while promoting a long-range vision for a city embracing its past and its future. Jay has good infrastructure and strong leadership working in concert with that vision to enhance all public access areas and promotion of a “small town” feel.
Library Vision
Statement
Jay residents view the library as a center for gathering together for social, as well as informational resources. The library provides current reading materials in fiction and non-fiction for personal enjoyment and for the learning experience; public access computers; entertaining and informational programming for all ages, as well as being a ‘directory’ for resources for residents and visitors alike. Delaware County Library is in a unique position to act as a “billboard” for the community and work in partnership with the city leadership to achieve their vision for the future, promoting a welcoming, friendly atmosphere with our services, personnel and materials.
